Hit the centre and try to look beyond the little boys peeing everywhere(seriously; Manneken Pis scares me). Stay in the Grand Place for a cool show whenever the clock strikes the hour.
If you’re into music, Brussels has a great musical instruments museum. Les Galeries San Hubert are good to visit…just try not to buy enything from there.
It’s not my thing, but mini-Europe tends to be popular amongst my friends for some reason…I do love the craft, details and everything, but the theme is a bit too cheesy for my liking. If you’re into models and architecture models it is quite lovely to visit.

A Brussels Card is available for discounts at many attractions:

Palais de Justice/Justitiepaleis (Law Courts of Brussels), Place Poelaert/Poelaert Plein, 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri. Larger than St. Peter’s basilica in Rome, it cost 45 million Belgian Francs to construct in 1866. Free.
