Lombard is a self-standing Romance language which is considered an Italian sub-dialect for political reasons. (linguistic links between the two are scarce). It’s spoken in Lombardy and some areas in Switzerland such as Ticino and Graubünden. Mainly an oral language without ortographical rules.
If you’re in Switzerland you might hear some people speak it. If you’re in Italy it’s unlikely since Lombardians have been discouraged from speaking anything but Italian.
It’s estimated that around 9 million people can speak the language to some extent.
