We will be traveling from Glasgow to Edinburgh but would like to stay overnight in between, just to break the trip, we thought about Livingston, but we’re really not interested in a city stop over, does anyone have any suggestions on a nice little village in between?? maybe somewhere outside of Livingston?

I can recommend you the village Harthill is between Glasgow and Edinburgh, the hotel whichc I was staying was “Days Inn Hotel Sheffield South”.

West Calder is very near to Livingston it is just 15 minutes driving to Livingston. Really nice rural place, just what you are looking for.
