Hi all
What are the options for village tourism in Russia? Are there any agency who conducts such tours.. we want to experience core Russian village life as it was centuries ago… Is that possible somewhere?

Well, villages aren’t exactly how they were centuries ago…People wash nowadays and tend to live past 30 years of age, you know.
Popular villages are in Karelia and the Leningrad region, as well as the ones on the shors of Lake Onega and Ladoga.

Rural tourism or agrotourism is becoming more and more popular in Karelia, the Altai, the Leningrad region, the Kaliningrad region and some other regions of Russia. The visitors are offered the traditional Russian meals: honey, kvass, kasha (Russian porridge) and borsch made of organic food products. The tourists are happy to be engaged in farm activities ranging from picking berries and vegetables or feeding animals, getting acquainted with the traditions of a Russian village.

The smells, the traffic, the lack of enjoyment in your routine. The hordes of people always pushing and bustling, leaving you with no peace⦠I am sure you want to get away from all this. Pleasant, relaxing tour of an authentic, rustic Russian Village. http://www.bestrussiantour.com/incredible/tour_russian_village
where you can converse with the local people, eat their types of food, perhaps, learn about Soviet times which you might not have known anything about.
The real advantage to this is that you will be taken almost back in time,
